Re: GREAT ROOM ALONG MALECON AVAILABLE FROM DECEMBER

Hi Taira: I realize you´re looking for a permanent roomie but would it be possible for me to rent the room for about two weeks over Christmas? I´m coming to spend some time with friends in Lima for the holidays (gotta get the heck out of Piura!) and will need a private room for a while. I lived in L...

Re: Tarapoto

I need a legit Tarapoto travel company to give tours of villages, waterfalls, hot springs, all there is to do outside of the city. The two web sites I've tried from my Lonely Planet suggestions have been terminated. I've just made reservations for a hostal beside the city square for three nights. Sh...

I'm looking for the best transportation method from Piura to Tarapoto. I'd actually kinda like a bus bc it would allow me to see more of Peru.

Any suggestions?

National writing month

In writers land, it's known as NaNoWriMo. For the nonwriter, it would be enumerated as National Novel Writing Month. Is anyone in Peru participating in this? I'm not a novelist but I'm participating.
Let's meet up and chat about the writing process!

Re: Recibos de honorarios

It's common to pay 50 soles to whom and for what? For the taxes or the recibos? The company I'm contracting for doesn't likely have people who stay more than three months, and those who do produce RDHs for the company have a local novia/o or esposa/o. I'm not aboard the latter ship. And most certain...

Lost my iPhone on Saturday night. Was at Santos. It's black with a white flexible cover and a screenguard that I had just installed that day. Called it Sunday and heard my own voice mail. Left an SMS on it with my home phone number. Returned to Santos. None have provided luck. Please email me at NLR...

OK. It appears most people want to do this at a different hour and avoid conflicts with the other Starbucks meeting. Therefore let's start this blog group NEXT week:

7 PM at Starbucks (on Ovalo Gutierrez, the one by Friday's and Wong) in San Isidro
WEDNESDAY

I hope that works better for people.

I'm well aware of the fact that people actually work. I set the time temporarily at 430 so that those who get off around 5 can make it afterwards. Some people work until 5 and some start their evening work at 6. Therefore this is an attempt to let the former come later and the latter come earlier. T...
