USexpat's: Jury duty?

It just occurred to me today, even though I'm no longer living in NY, I still have an address there where I get what little mail arrives in my name now a days, so what do I do if I get a jury summons? Will I have to book a flight just to show up in court that day to say I don't live in the country a...

I was craving peanuts just the other day and I walked into a Vivanda and saw they had Planters for 16-20 soles, depending on the can size; I think they're nuts! What I really want though is Frosted Mini-Wheats (its a breakfast cereal) :( When I was in Vivanda peanut shopping I checked the cere...

The seasons

I was thinking about this a few nights ago and came up with the following, please correct me if I'm wrong! :)

Dec, Jan, Feb: Summer
Mar, Apr, May: Autumn
Jun, Jul, Aug: Winter
Sep, Oct, Nov: Spring

Is that more or less how the seasons work here in Lima?

Militarize might mean better security and lowering the crime rate. The police can't cope with so much crime in Peru. Darn shame. He's doing everything one would expect someone from the Right in this country would be doing. As a matter of fact, I think he's moving things at a faster pace then they would have had they been in power right now.
