Cat transport issues...to USA.

Hello! I have a friend who is volunteering at Pisco Sin Fronteras. I met him when I volunteered there in 2010. While there, he and his wife adopted a cat, Gaia. They are leaving Peru and want to bring Gaia back with them, but are running into a problem. Because they are from the UK, they need to sen...

There are books in a variety of skill sets, s...

Re: Sending books to Peru...courier? UPS? Freight? Suggestions..

Rama, I took the taxes into consideration. One thing I made certain to do was keep receipts for everything I've bought. I've entered all the books I've bought into an excel spreadsheet with the date bought, and the correlating receipt. I don't know if they will tax the books based on what they belie...

Sending books to Peru...courier? UPS? Freight? Suggestions..

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to send a large quantity of books to Peru. I have bought a little over 300 books for my Godson and his mother (at thrift stores, sometimes as little as .10, oftentimes 5 for a dollar...in English, bilingual, so I can help my Godson learn English a...

Re: Anyone using the pre-paid Green Dot Cards in Peru?

I used the Walmart Green Dot cards both times when I was in Peru. I had two different accounts, and was lucky because one of my cards was stolen. I had my Mom put money onto the card only when I needed it to keep any potential loss at a minimum. It worked out great for me, and I was able to use it a...
