Honestly, I have flown with Spirit and I didn't think it was bad.
Like you, I pack lightly and don't really care about an inflight meal either.
I tried to hydrate myself beforehand so I wouldn't have to buy something to drink.

Some have horror stories.

Another good thing about an ale like Chimay is that not only does it taste great, it's got a good kick to it (9.0% abv).

Even though it's more expensive, many folks can't drink more than one or even finish one.

You have to remember that anything under 65F is brutal cold to many natives so those snow boots are appropriate.
Kinda ugly IMO but to each his/her own.

Really I don't know why anyone would use a third party ie travel agent these days.

Go straight to the airline website and get your itinerary. Best deals that way.

Best advice is do your homework, research
(especially with baggage embargoes and fees) and you won't get burnt.
