I haven't used my Claro phone outside of Peru. But just to be sure, I can suggest checking your phone first: insert Movistar or any other provider's SIM card in your phone and see if it connects to that network. MTC only restricts cell phones for re-sale and then for a certain quantity (limit 3 per package/per person). And does not restrict one for personal use. Hi, Importing cell phones to Peru is restricted, meaning you need to have a permit from the Ministry of Transport and Communications to do so. Haven't tried this myself, so not sure how much of a headache it is. But I'd assume coming to Peru would not make getting a cell phone via mail much easier t...
