Re: Our Experience of getting mugged at home

We had our building robbed, so we installed a gate at the 3rd floor.

Then they broke into the parking area and stole $1000 in parts of brother in laws car.

Then they broke into the basement apartments.

Now the building is hiring a guard, because the gatekeepers are worthless.

Welcome to Peru!

Re: LAN now charging all NON-RESIDENTS a $178.50 fee

Peru, officially, has adopted the opposite approach as LAN. The publicly adopted practice is to waive the 19% tax on hotel stays by foreigners visiting Peru as tourists. Why? By offering tourists a 19% discount on hotels, by not paying the hotel tax, Peru encourages tourists to come and visit, and s...

The difference between Disney and Eurorail versus LAN is that with Disney, the people and state of Florida have established a system adopted by rules, laws and legislation. Same with Eurorail, it is a publicly adopted system. LAN has no such system. In fact, LAN is simply a private company, IMITATIN...

Re: LAN now charging all NON-RESIDENTS a $178.50 fee

Way too much spinning of the facts here. There is one simple, plain, undeniable fact about what LAN is doing, and why INDECOPI is investigating. 1. LAN is a private company. 2. A Private company cannot just decide they will offer a discount to a special group of people. That is it. If LAN or McDonal...

Yes, 6 months ago in La Molina, we think a maid let burglars into our building. They hit the two top floors, only looking for computers, just before Mother's Day. Seriously,
My first mattress in Peru that was firm, was a gift. It is about 30 years old and is firm. It weighs about 200 pounds, I know, because I had to move it alone, upstairs into my apartment.

They don't make mattresses like that anymore. And, I checked, there is no dead body inside. :-)

I don’t believe it is prudent or indeed desirable to deliberately set out to find a mistress.
