It is less likely to happen in Peru than in the states. Peru is controlled by a handfull of families that really much enjoy their control over the country and people and will not go quietly to allowing the people to use a non fiat money.

For a US passport,
You need one photo and it takes 2 weeks. They will give you back your current passport untill you get the new one. Then they will void your old one. Then you need to go to migrations and have your visa transfered.

I read it in a report from NOAA about 1975. We did a study of it regarding acid rain in school. It took them using lots of computers an entire year to calculate it. Ok they were old mainframes H-6000 I think. But im sure you couldnt calculate it in just a few hours on any computer that exists today....

I havent found a good electritian or plumber in peru yet.. Im sure that has something to do with the low pay. In Africa however I have met some very good tradesmen. Yes, he is not american so the 30% applies to him. But you really need to check things like the free trade agreement and other trade agreements. There might be discounts for the type of business you do.

It works the same in Peru for Peruvian businesses contracting with overseas businesses.
