Re: Best age for a half Peruvian child to live some time in Peru

Eve, Was curious what about how children interact here you have a problem with, that was an interesting comment. I am around Peruvian children frequently but don't understand enough of the language to really pick up the dynamics at all. "No, she as well adapted to the Peruvian way a living and ...

Re: Is $20,000 a year enough to raise a family in Peru?

Here's a twist on the question. Is the $20.000 now $22,000 (or more)? I keep reading about this new ObamaCare bill being passed and although I don't think anyone really understands it, one thing I keep seeing is that every US Citizen will be required to purchase health care. If you don't you would b...

Re: Scam of the Day

sounds like for that particular scam if you could get some legitimate authorities to you house then you could tell them that yes they should come by and you will pay them the fee to get the son out. Have the authorities hidden and then nail whoever comes to the house to make the pick up. Hopefully y...

Count me in, I have a couple well used bats I could throw in the mx. There used to be a league that had a bunch of teams (DEA, Marines, AID, Markham, Roosevelt expats, ICS) don't know if that is still functioning, it was going strong for awhile but haven't heard anything lately.

Hiding Internet Location?

I'm far from technical so if someone can explain clearly a solution it would be super appreciated. I'm trying to log onto nfl.com to stream the video of the game tonight. It appears to be free to US users but there are charges if you are international. My question, is there a way to block the websit...

Keep us posted, I'm also very interested in having one at the house. Would prefer bringing over from the states as I am sure the prices aren't very competitive for quality handguns in Lima.

Re: Anyone with young children happy in Lima??

Yes, very happy with a 4 year old. As long as you can afford a private school ($300-$800 per month). I personally think the education is superior than typical US at the better private schools, but others disagree. Lima is a city so depends on what you like, but you could always go somewhere like Cie...

If you have your carnet and you are taking the train to Maccu Piccu ask for the Peruvian rate and you will get it. You are a resident You may have to fight a little but I did that and saved a bundle. Anyone know where you can find a large selection of gas grills in Lima? I've seen a couple way overpriced so-so quality at Saga/Ripley but nothing of much interest. Very annoying. One of the key focus of policy in general should be to encourage and enable competition. It's so good for the consumer as easily evidenced by airline rates.
