Enjoy your trip. Be careful with the mosquitoes. It is the rainy season now and there is a dengue outbreak in Iquitos. Two deaths from the hemorrhagic variation, the latest just a few days ago. At least 18 people are currently hospitalized.

I used Brazil before I had a work visa, when there was no fee or visa requirements. From Pucallpa it is a hour flight and fairly cheap.

Actually they use an AB Dick 360 printing press for US currency, don't know about other currencies. There are a lot of them in Peru.
