You can find panela granulada (granulated panela), which is sugar cane juice which has been evaporated and cristallized, in any health food store and at the bioferia of Miraflores. Sometimes you can find it at Wong at a higher price.

I can recommend Dr. Mauricci from Clinica Ricardo Palma. He operated successfully on my wife's knee for a torn meniscus. I don't know if he speaks english, though.

I was hanging my clothes in the bathroom with a small heater and the door shut. I finally gave in this year and just bought a dryer. If you leave the door shut, then the humidity given off by the clothes will just saturate the room with humidity. You need to leave the door ajar for some ventilation...

If you transfer a large amount of money (I don't what is the limit) to a Peruvian account from a foreign source, then SUNAT sooner or later will be calling you to explain the origin of the funds. I don`t know if in your case you'll be taxed. Sorry I couldn`t be of more help

I doubt very much that Peru will provide any military help to Argentina in case of conflict since Argentina sold secretly arms to Ecuador during the Peruvian-Ecuadorian conflict in the 90's

Well the beers are no problem, Fosters, VB, Crown Lager are a few of the Aussie beers you can buy here. The sun will probably ok at this time of the year, but the cricket, there I think we run into a problem.

We haven't had any flea problems with our "perro sin pelo peruano" in seven years. Though, I m not sure if it's only due to the fact that they are essentially hairless, or maybe because they seem to have thicker skin
