Buying land as a tourist

Hey My wife and I are living in Peru on a tourist visa. We are also are looking at buying a small plot of land. I wanted to know if this is possible. In the notaria they are saying that I can do this with a passport. I want a second opinion. The lot is part of an association in Puerto Maldonado.

Re: Type of Carnet

Hey,

Would you happen to know anything about starting the Institute under an NGO and what the requirements would be for a foreigner to do that?

Re: Type of Carnet

Thanks,

One quick question just to make sure. I would need to work for two years before I could switch my work visa to an immigrant visa right?

Type of Carnet

Hi,

I am a US citizen, and I am interested in starting an English institute in Peru. What type of Carnet would I need to get in order to do that? I was thinking that I would need to choose one as an investor, but I don't know if I could come up with $25,000 dollars to start something like that.

Re: Lost tourist visa

I went to migraciones on 28 de Julio here in Maldonado. The guy said that he could get me a new tourist visa, but it would cost me $250 american dollars. Do you know why it would be so expensive?
