Does anyone know if there are any daycares in Lima (preferably Miraflores) that can watch kids that are 10 y/o? I was hoping to find after school care for the older kids, but I haven't had any luck.

I believe Ormeño has bus service from Lima to Quito. That would make it easier crossing the border since the bus takes everyone to the immigration centers on both sides of the border and they wait for everyone to finish the immigration process before leaving.

I don't know of a bus company that goes to Huanuco, but I would recommend Dramamine for motion sickness. I have seen this sold in Peru under the brand Gravol. The generic name is dimenhydrinate and 50mg usually does the trick.

My wife is a doctor in Lima and she has worked in those vaccination campaigns for rubeola. She said the vaccinations are not obligatory. The vaccinations they give are free. I hope this clears things up and takes away some of the fears that you might have about them being obligatory.
