Re: teaching in Arequipa

I don't know if this answers your question, as I know nothing of the details of the Flora Tristan School, but a friend of mine here in Arequipa with new ESL credentials received several offers, most likely because of her willingness to work long-term (longer than a month). From what I understand, ma...

Re: What location has Peru's best climate?

I agree with Victmanu....Moyobamba is a really nice little city and is a FAR (sorry Chi Chi) better place to live than Tarapoto (though...Tarapoto can be fun). Although it's the capital of San Martin, it's much smaller than Tarapoto Beep, wrong again. Tarapoto has a population of 63,484. Moyabamba ...

My wife and I are planning a move from Arequipa to the Máncora area. Once settled a bit, we'll be needing to furnish our home. I'd like to save a few Soles where possible and buy used where possible. Re: Working on a freight ship for passage to America

About a year back I did some research on this. I don't remember the name of the interweb site, but after a Google search I discovered that you can travel as a passenger on cargo ships, not as a crew member. They'll take up to 12 passengers (the reason being, if I remember correctly, that more than 1...

Fujimori, who actually did something beneficially lasting. IMHO Fujimori is not really an example as he is imprisoned for crimes against humanity. Regarding economy he "opened" the economy not really as a visionary (the same did Chile, Brazil, Argentina in the 90s) but rather to make good...

Figured that. I read on a different website how it is a good idea when inquiring about real estate information by email to use a separate email account for just this purpose using a more local sounding name. If you email using a gringo sounding name your bound to get info with higher prices.

Good news, but old news. When I was checking fares in November TACA was only adding the surcharge to Lima-Cusco and flights to Pto. Maldonado; all other flights didn't have the surcharge.

I think LAN is the only airline still charging a surcharge for all flights booked by foreigners.
