Re: The Census is Sunday

From my perspective the census was a disaster. The census taker who came to our house only took information from my wife instead of each individual. I even didn't mind to to came out of my bedroom. They were happy that at all anyone opened the door coz otherwise they would have to come again over a...

Re: Housing Prices

If you look at Peru's and South Americas economic history you see spells of boom from natural resources followed by bust and although there are signs that Peru is spreading it's business growth into other sector more stable like agriculture to give the economy a bit more stability you can't help bu...

Re: Why I think Peru is one of the worst countries to live

However, in favor of Peru is that it is yet the 3rd worst country in SA :P

I think Bolivia is worse. Also Venezuela should be considered worse - however it is a transient problem in VE while Peru+Bolivia are permanently in trouble forever.

Re: Why I think Peru is one of the worst countries to live

Maybe two good questions to ask are: Are things getting any better in Peru? What is the prognosis for the next 30 years? nope! it is getting down. It is like a ship sinking... first the tail goes a bit up and you think "hurra it goes up"... but then it sinks quickly https://i.imgflip.com/...

Another example from a peruvian friend this week: his baby was born with 7 months, now she needs to be in the incubator for at least 4 more weeks. The hospital just told him: you have to pay daily rent for the incubator OR we switch it off.... THIS IS PERU. got it?

Well most of your northern England cities aren't pretty but the poor parts of them are still a world apart from the worst areas of Lima. The tram system in Manchester was extremely good. my advice: if you can go around it to not register marriage in Peru, DO NOT do it! It only creates additional bureaucratic layers. Do NOT give them jobs! Not that way at least. If you can go with foreign certificate each year, pay the $$$ and forget RENIEC. "Normal" countries NEVER ask you...

Is it nice to own? 3. do you get any rights if you own real estate? Can you stay in your home for an entire year? While 1 is a maybe for P...

The hard thing about living in Lima is the ugliness of the place. The badly wired cables across the streets, then there's the rubbish!!! God i h...

All this meat talk makes me glad I'm a vegetarian. Which is extremely difficult in a carnivorous country like Peru. well I wouldnt say that! you have lots of great fruits and vegetables here. However, people are just not used to eat vegetarian dishes, so you may have some social pressure to eat meat.
