I would also have to say Markham. They do a teacher exchange with a exclusive private school here in Calgary. I have know a few of the teacher at Markham and all three of them were UK educated Peruvians who spoke english without an accent and seemed to be very upstanding individuals.

Unfortunately your boyfriend will have to go through the regular process of getting a tourist visa. If he has a steady job etc... it should not be that much of a problem. I love the empanadas at Wong, believe it or not. They will even heat them up for you. Also, Casa de Pan in Chararilla is really good as well!

One of my friends, Liam Schubel a Chiropractor, came to Lima in 1995 to work at a clinic. He opened his own a year later and now has 11 clinics all over Peru from Lima to Trujillo.

The burgers at Chili's at Jockey.
The steaks at El Rincon Gaucho in Miraflores. Great service as well.
San Ceferino in San Isidro. I love their pork chop (it's the size of your head!!!) served with risotto.

Thank you. Having lived in Lima, and now travelling back and forth to Lima as well as travelling around Peru you hear about things of this nature. We have travelled alot in Peru and this is our first missed step in 11 years.

Beware of the lucuma popsicles!!! I spent a fantastic week in Iquitos until the second last day, bought a lucuma popsicle and spent the next three days in the bathroom. Also, beware of prostitutes. I was propositioned twice in one day while I was walking with my wife and mother! Have a great trip!

Yaku Spa in San Isidro. It is located on the side of the Country Club Hotel and beside the Starbucks. Whenever the wife and I are in town we go there 2-3 times in a two week period. Great staff and ambiance!
