We're in Miraflores, in a private home, though, not a building. Our bill this month is S/.295, and that's pretty much average. We're anywhere from 3 to 6 people living here at anyone time, with a washer and dryer.

We pay 10 soles for menu just about every day - but they send me an email with their selections for the day , allowing me to order online - and then deliver to my door. Large portions, good flavor. Having compared many 'menu' in my almost 9 years here, I consider it worth the 10 soles.

Both of those places are very close to Miraflores. I live in Miraflores - the area of Surquillo I'm talking about is a 10-15 minute walk - about 10 blocks.

Magdalena is 10-15 minutes by car.

USTVNow has a free service that provides the basic broadcast networks - ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox (not the news channel) and the WB.

They have an extended cable option that offers 20 some odd channels.

They also have some more expensive options with HD, Digital recorder options etc.

Surquillo is good - but the South-eastern side is where you want to go (near where Philip lives) - it's a very quiet area and close to everything.

And credit cards are very easy to get - I see people all the time in the grocery stores purchasing a couple hundred soles of groceries on a 24 payment plan. :/
