We were out and about. Maybe half of the menu places were open. Half of other small businesses also. All the big stores were open. It was quiet out there. Got a lot done.

I assume that all banks, governmental agencies, etc are closed today and tomorrow. I would imagine that most little Mom & Pop menu places will be closed. What about places like restaurants, supermercados, Sodimac, Ace Hardware ... ???

Many thanks! We went this week to the big places on Wilson. It's a very interesting place - where they print mostly gigantic banners and such on vinyl material. We didn't find any place specializing in Giclee or art prints, but did find a place which made us a good color print of one of Gene's paint...

I think you're right, Kelly. I wonder what the hell this stuff is - and where I got it - and why - and what it was to be used for! Anyhow, instead of 3/4 t baking soda and 1/2 t baking powder, I used 1 1/2 t baking powder. We'll see how it works out. I don't think it will kill anybody!

Capt: Yeah, unfortunately, we have tried that. No matter what amount we request, it refuses it for anything above $100 US. Crazy. But it doesn't charge a fee, which every other place does, of course, so I suppose it's worth it.
