With Lima being dry that weekend, I am so glad there is an alternative.

it is a five star resort on a pristine beach. IT is a 3 day party, it seems perfectly reasonable to me.

Irish Music, corned beef, shuttles from lima, a taxi from lima would cost over 150 soles each way.

And with Lima dry. it is where the action is.

Actually, it is a bit pricey.

Day passes are not available and the hotel room is an additional S/. 700.00, possibly per night. Some of us gringos are on a budget, you know.

They are expanding the shuttles so you can go up and beach each day on the shuttle. You do not have to stay and you can still enjoy the 3 day festival. I wil be staying next door at the Derrama which is a bit less and holds up to 5 people.

They just opened up one day passes, so you can go just for the day for 100 soles.

Does corned beef have any relevance to St Patrick's day celebrations, I have never heard of this before?

it is more of a US St. Patrick´s tradition than an Irish one.

and while St. Pats is the Irish national day, it is a cherished festival around the world with many different cultures adding their twists to the tradition.

Green rivers and green beer and corned beef being among the st. pats traditions in the USA.
