I noticed today a new subway sandwich shop open on Schell, between Larco and Alcafores in Miraflores.

That is GREAT NEWS!!!
I like the idea you can chose the variety of your bread (some 6 selections) & that they have a "SPECIAL OF THE DAY" for 6.90 soles (in the store in Real Plaza anyway). You can also chose the cheese & toppings!

The 15cm "special" is plenty for lunch for me; or I get 2-3 & bring home for the others in our family.
I wish SUBWAY - well & thanks for the info.

Also, the daily special might be a bit more pricey... at Jockey Plaza it's 9 soles... I believe, it's still better tan other greasy options!

A sandwich shop called SUBWAY has opened too at the mercado in Tarapoto.
They copied the official Subway signage.

They are mostly open from 5 am till 1 pm but opening hours vary.

Sandwiches cost between 1.50 and 3.50 soles. A cup of cofee 1.50 soles and tea 1.00 soles.
Fresh juices cost 1.50 soles.
They are closed on Sunday.

There's a real one. And one of the best in the world. When I am in Lima I use the metro all the time because I can travel to anywhere I want to go in Lima in comfort and safety for a democratic price.

Please the metro is great, but open your eyes: the construction is expensive and takes ages, Lima has exactly 1 line (better say half a line, the other half is still in construction), they are fighting for a long time now how and if they built line 2, 3, 4, 5. Even if all 5 planned lines are finished by then, it unfortunately surely can't solve the traffic problem in Lima.

Together with the Metropolitana, it's a very good public transport system.
