Any free Sat-TV over Peru?

Hi

looking for some good satellite over Peru that offers a good mix of free (without decoder card) TV stations - if you ever lived in Europe you know what I mean with Hotbird/Astra. Anything over here, where I can point to the dish and receive an acceptable mix of TV stations?

In my opinion the bundles they sell here with their phone/internet/TV packages are totally overpriced and the channels are quite garbage - the basic packages usually offer only peruvian TV, however I prefer to have international mix of channels - just 2-3 main channels from a country or so.

I checked some satellite lists and there are of course satellites over here, however it is quite time-expensive to check all of them, what channels are there, etc.

So my question: someone using a normal dish with DVB-S(2) decoder in Peru without having to pay Movistar or Claro and what are the coordinates? Any idea that works?

For quite some time I have been asking this question myself. But without practical experience with satellite TV before I have not getting further then some investigation.

I personally have a satellite dish at Satmex 6 for the Dutch BVN channel. It is a free-to-air channel, and gives me all the Dutch news, some Dutch programs etc. for free.
It is only suitable for Dutch, or maybe Chinese, as there are also some Chinese channels on it.
I am very happy with it. You can buy the free-to-air stuff, and the dish in Paruro ( centre of Lima )
I suggest strongly that you buy the aluminium dish (more expensive !), as the cheapest ( steel ) dish will corrode completely in three years.. Also buy a dishfinder.
