I use xe.com . I am like everyone else and do not know which way it will go. If the FED tapers in Sept (as expected) then I think it will continue to go down.

Been getting 2.8 on the street all week as the Gov't has been spending many millions to defend the 2.8 level.

i normally go to a casino in MF and change and walk out. much better rate than a bank and some money changers. although at casino Atlantic city you are not allowed to change and leave. i go to Fiesta down the street, no hassles there.

IMO i feel the FED will never "Taper" they have to keep buying treasuries and are printing themselves into a corner. or maybe they will just come up with a new system to fool the general public that they have stopped buying treasuries and create some new alphabet soup group to handle those responsibilities. All i know is that Ben Bernanke will not go down in history as the captain of the titanic, but he is most definitely responsible of the current course with the iceberg.

At the casinos; do they give you a preferencial rate; as the pharmacies?
One time I changed a $50 at a pharm; they gave me 2.70 - when the best rate was 2.63!
Is this to encourage you to spend more; I like the idea - but the max. amount changed is $50 - too bad!!!

I feel the US will be OK; they are starting to take the deficit seriously now.
The entitlements have to change; when a person can live better on WELFARE than working - there is no incentive to be a contributor to the economy (ask Chi Chi about the situation in Belgium & Europe).

Don't EVER bet against the US; it has its' share of problems - but ALWAYS bounces back & will continue to do!
I am taking bets on the economy; please email me with your thoughts & we will wager...
