Place to stay for a family wedding in Lima in Feb

Postby nemov » Mon Jan 06, 2014 7:15 pm

Hello all,

I wonder if you can help? I used to live in Lima as an expat about 3 years ago, and am returning with my fiancee to get married in February. I am looking for an affordable place to rent from Feb 1 - Feb 9th for 6 People...or 2 places quite close to eachother. It is my retired parents, two sisters and myself and my fiancee - and Ideally somewhere not far from San Isidro/Miraflores/ Avenida Benavides.

If you have any ideas, or would be willing to rent your apartment, I would love to hear from you.

Many thanks,

Nate

I have had good luck with these folks. I have stayed with them two or three times: http://www.innperu.com/

Tell them you want the nice new apartments with lots of rooms. 24 hours front desk security also.

Good luck, Nate.
And if you all stay together don't forget it is bad luck for the groom to see the bride in her wedding dress before the wedding.

I have stayed in a house next to La Rambla in San Borja. Ama has converted her house into a number of departments. Location is good, it is exceptionally quiet for Lima and she even includes daily cleaning and laundry.

This might be an option. I used them a few years back for a short stay and although I seem to remember an additional charge for not paying in advance, apart from that everything was fine. They've got lots of choice and as you already know Lima, you'll have an idea which streets are better and which are best avoided.

A US friend had good luck with www.vrbo.com. Since you know Lima, you'll be in a good position to know the locations, too.
