International Movers and Moving Boxes

Postby sunflower » Fri Aug 29, 2014 8:56 am

Can anyone recommend a reliable mover for moving from Lima to Mexico?

And any ideas where I can find moving boxes, preferable the ones with holes in the sides for easy carrying?

Hi Sunflower,

I have contacted ATG http://atg-relocations.com/ I have not actually done the move yet, but all their pre-move service is very good.

When I came to Peru in 2012, I had some good experiences with the Peruvian agent of my Dutch removal company.
They handled everything skillful , efficient and on time.

Their data are:

CLASS INTERNATIONAL MOVERS
Lima - PERU
Phone: (51 1) 206 9955 ext. 170
Fax: (51 1) 348 4737
E-mail : [email protected]

Thanks guys. I will get in touch with both and have them send me a quote.

And just for information: the moving boxes with holes at the sides aren't common here. So I just bought moving boxes without at Sodimac. I found them quite expensive: box 60 x 40 cm was S/. 6.50, 60 x 60 cm was S/. 8.50 and they have smaller ones 40 x 40 cm I think S/. 4.50.

Thank you so much for your lovely words, Alan.

Honestly I will miss ExpatPeru. From the day we arrived in Peru to now 8 years later it was such a great source of information with an incredible community always willing to help and give advice. I hope you can keep up the great work you are doing here. :)

I will be here for another two months and as my husband and kids are Peruvians as well, we will always be tied to Peru ... and who knows, probably one day we might be back.

Thanks again!

Hi Sunflower,

Just wondering how this turned out? Which moving company did you go with and how did it go. We are moving back to the US soon from Lima.

David
