He might not have to go to San Migueul, but he might want to have a look around some other places.
I'm sure chi chi will back me up when I tell you, there are some great places to eat in and around San Miguel, and the prices are "democratic"

There is a Chili's in San Miguel and one in Larcomar (MIraflores) (I have been to both). There are several others in Lima as well. They are everywhere in Peru actually, there is even a brand new one in the Aventura Plaza Mall in Trujillo
