Traveling with a CE

Postby jackielu » Mon May 04, 2015 11:58 pm

I am married to a Peruvian and living here in Lima. Before, I have always travelled as a tourist on my US passport. I recently received my CE (on the basis of marriage to a Peruvian) and am planning to make a visit of 6 weeks back to the States. Does anyone know if I need anything more than just my CE to leave and re-enter Peru? Thanks!

As a spouse of a Peruvian citizen you'll need to have your travel passport, CE and a TAM which you'll fill out before passing through customs and passport control. That's all according to Migraciones' officials.

Here's the link to the list of requirements on Migraciones official site:

I assume the TAM is for when I return to peru? Do you know what I need to leave since I had to turn in my currant TAM when I applied for my carnet?

Passport, CE, and you'll need to fill out a quick form at the airport stating you owe no taxes to Peru. That's it.

You'll have to fill out a new TAM when you're leaving and bring it back when you return.

Here's a link for you to download a copy of the TAM for you to have filled out and ready to hand to immigration at the airport upon leaving Peru:

And here's also a few links for the Sunat tax forms they may ask you for: the last form applies to someone like me as I have not made any money from an income here in Peru:
