Large clothing...

Postby Spearhawk » Sat Feb 11, 2017 3:45 pm

So I been trying to tell my wife that I am rather large person, I have long arms and long legs.
She been trying to find clothing stores in Lima but they seems to be unable to comprehend someone
being as large as requiring 3XL clothing. So I am am asking you guys.
In european my size is C56 or 49/50 in shirt size in sweden.
what store could possibly have those sizes?

Your best option is just to do all your clothes shopping in your home country when you visit or order the clothes online and have a family member post the clothing to you in Peru.

I totally gave up on trying to find clothes i liked that fitted in Peru and have just done the above ever since. The best place to find clothes in the really extra sizes is to go to all the western stores at Jockey Plaza. Just spend an entire day there trying stuff on if needs be. If nothing there then you'll just have to get stuff made to fit.

Just get it hand made is the best option. There's plenty of places where you can get this done. (I can't remember the name, maybe another forum member will help) but there is a huge market in the centre of La Victoria where you'll find textile merchants and tailors. Just get what ever you want made up there. You'll be able to find plenty of tailors in Miraflores as well.

I went to a Gamarra shop and got a window curtain made.
Certainly, they should be able to make a giant shirt.
Large and in charge!

When in doubt head to the Gamarra and ask around you are sure to find some Lacoste knockoffs that big. I am XXL and find what I need there....Shorts and jeans are not readily available without quite a walk. Polvos azules may have shorts but haven't bought jeans in peru. For that matter the plaza de armas has plenty of tailors around that can fix you up on some nice slacks maybe even some kahkis. I know your pain.
