In the specific case of Tarapoto what do these foreigners do for a living?
An Italian has a restaurant and bar.
A Spanish has a cocktail bar.
Several Italians cultivate tobacco.
A Korean has a hotel.
A French guy works as mototaxista.
Another French guy has a hostal.
And there's a bunch of English teachers. They seem to be in high demand in Tarapoto as there's a shortage.
i have yet to see a Pakistanian run kebob stand on the street
what part of Lima are they consentrating on?
In Magdalena Del Mar there's a Pakistani running a kebab stand on the street in front of Supermercado Capon. He has been there some time and makes good money.I talked to him recently. He sells on average 50 kebabs a day and charge 7.50 soles.
Earning 375 soles a day working without any licence and on a tourist visa isn't bad.
There's a Moroccan guy doing the same around the corner.
