Papeleta de Infraccion

Hello all,
we rent our car as a taxi to a Peruvian man, but he got a lot of papeletas (total around 9 papeletas in 3 months). Since he seem not really care to pay, the amount are increasing. Now we are the one (as the ownerof the car) who received the letter from SAT. Some of the infraccion are photos, as per SAT we cannot transfer these papeletas de infraccion to the driver's name. But we explained that we have the contract agreement between us and the driver.Anybody ever facing this kind of experience or maybe similiar? please share with us. We really need to solve this problem as of now, we are facing S/.812.20 from SAT.

A denuncia is probably the only way to get him to pay, and no guarantee of that.

You can also take the car away from him and you let him only drive it again after he payed all the fines.

Best of all is not to rent out the car at all to taxidrivers.

Do you know what kind of trouble you can get in if he uses the crimes to commit a crime?

Are you paying your taxes over that rent ?
I suppose you rent your car informal, so you are 100% liable for any multa. Anyway the owner almost always is ( maybe if the police catches him driving drunk, then he gets the multa, but you will still loose the car, as it will be impounded. )

That is why you should rent your car only to trustworthy people. Not to anybody who pays you S/. 50 a day ( I understood that more common is S/. 35 a day, and S/. 20 for Sunday )

Very common is that they sell the car to a breaker who sells it onwards in parts and tell the owner of the car that the car got stolen.

Thank you for all the suggestions. We decided to take our car back and my Husband who's driving it as a taxi now. We hope we will earn better.
