Fly = mosca
Mosquito = zancudo (it bites you at night, while you are sleeping. They take your blood)
Fruit fly = mosquito ! (they always fly around the garbage can, it is an small fly)
The problem is with the word "mosquito" because its name are for 2 different species of insects , depending what language you are choosing from
To make it even more complex, some few peruvians use to name to "zancudo" as "mosquito" !, but they are wrong

But you probably need to know the spanish name = "raqueta electrica" . I have one. It is effective with mosquito (english name for zancudo)
I Haven't use one with flies because they are very fast. You would probably be several minutes behind a fly trying to kill it
For flies is better a "cinta pegajosa para moscas"

As the area around the chicken farm is being developed, would the bats cause a problem to the residents?
Thanks to all for the help.
