Trujillo in this day and age - safety...

Postby billybob72 » Fri Mar 06, 2020 12:09 am

So I have read the forum regarding safety and Trujillo and it seems that it was once rather dangerous and had a problem with crime but now it has improved. I read a lot of posts by the wonderful poster 'KenBE' who had a lot of great information about Trujillo but it seems things have changed according to netizens in other parts of the web, and certainly since the visit of The Pope in 2018. Can anyone shed light on the current situation regards Trujillo, safety and the year 2020? :D

All thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers!

The Bad Reputation of Trujillo was created by some crimes and robberies during a short period of time, but it happened some years ago.

Actually is a beautiful and safe place.

There are some statistics to be found about crime in Peru:

https://gestion.pe/peru/inei-son-region ... 0-noticia/
https://sgp.pcm.gob.pe/wp-content/uploa ... 1nchez.pdf

Inei has a dedicated portal for crime statistics and reports: http://datacrim.inei.gob.pe/
