The team at Expat Peru is thrilled to welcome you to our new site!

So, what’s new? Well, we have updated the look, with a new style of menus and categories that will help you go from one topic to another with much more ease. We have also updated all of the time sensitive articles relating to immigration laws, customs restrictions, and such, and we’ve also overhauled all of the information regarding groups, schools, churches and sporting associations. If that weren’t enough, we’ve increased the number of articles that will help you make the most of your time in Peru.

The Expat Peru website was launched in 2005, building off the Expatriate mailing list (a listserv) that we set up in 1996 in order to give expats living in Peru a chance to share information and network with each other. The Internet was only recently being adopted in Peru, so the “Expatriate List” was the first network of its kind to serve the community of foreign citizens here and it quickly blossomed in size. Over the years, the listserv gave way to bulletin boards, Facebook groups and a plethora of web pages meant to help the expat community in Peru.

Since we began, the goal of Expat Peru has been to provide information of interest to newcomers, and to provide them with a positive environment to share their experiences, feedback and advice.

If you have not visited us for a while, please drop in to see what we have to offer. We’ll be publishing all of our new content to our Facebook page, so give us a like so we can stay in touch.

We hope you enjoy the new site. Don’t hesitate in letting us know what you think, proposing ideas for new articles, and sharing our website with other expats in Peru and around the globe.

Thank you for visiting us!
